KCBPU monitors residential water meters that show continual usage for more than 24 hours. Please be proactive and check for leaks around your residence, which in return, can reduce your costs. Below are examples of a potential leak but are not limited to:
- Running Toilet
- Outside faucet left on
- Leak between water meter and the house (for outside meters)
- Lawn irrigation leak
- Burst pipes
If you are unable to locate a leak at your residence and/or have further questions regarding continuous usage, please contact 913-573-9631 during the business hours of 8am to 4pm Monday thru Friday. Calls after 4pm can be directed to water dispatch at 913-573-9622.
If your water meter is located inside and you are not able to identify a leak, we recommend contacting a licensed and bonded plumber to investigate.
