Eagle Days at Wyandotte County Lake Celebrates 20 Years

(KANSAS CITY, Ks.) — Eagle Days are returning to Wyandotte County Lake Park and scheduled to take place on January 15th and 16th, 2022. This year will celebrate the 20th Anniversary of this free family-friendly event.

Eagle Days will have a variety of fun learning activities and programs for all ages at the Mr. & Mrs. F.L. Schlagle Library and James P. Davis Hall. Attendees can visit each location to see different birds of prey, including a bald eagle, as well as other live bird presentations.

Spotting scopes will be available outside for birdwatching around the lake. Visitors should bring binoculars and cameras to take advantage of the scenic views and beautiful winter landscapes.

Hours for Saturday are 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., and Sunday Noon – 5:00 p.m. For the full Eagle Days experience, make sure to visit both sites found on this printable flyer here.

Eagle Days at Wyandotte County Lake are offered in partnership with Operation Wildlife, the Mr. & Mrs. F.L. Schlagle Library; the Kansas City Board of Public Utilities (BPU); the Kansas City, Kansas Public Library; Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools; the Unified Government of Wyandotte County and Kansas City, Kansas; and Burroughs Audubon Society of Greater Kansas City.
